MAGIC TOUCH TRANSFORMS WINTER FEST FOR FAMILIES IN HARLEM

Event dates:
Thursday, January 9, 2014 (All day)

Ever wonder how things really work and why what goes up must come down? Well-known magician and entertainer David Ellis demonstrated answers to these and other questions as part of the first ever Harlem Winter.

The magician dazzled and delighted children and families at the Young Diplomat Academy at 134 West 122nd Street as he demonstrated his ability to educate and as well as entertain. More than 100 happy families moved into the cafeteria which was turned into a crafts center. They made crafts, ate cupcakes and took away free books courtesy of the New York Public Library.

The Winter Festival was put on by four Magnet Schools in District 3 with financial support from Community Works. Experts were available from 1:00 to 3:00 to talk about the amazing educational options available for New York City families, and in particular, to learn more about the Magnet Schools in New York.
