STEM Career Day

On February 7, 2014, STEM Institute of Manhattan hosted their Second Annual STEM Career Day!

Students were introduced to a wide variety of STEM professions from many of the big names in STEM: US Navy, Accenture, Huge, The Guardian Project, Mozilla Foundation, New York Institute of Technology, NFL, NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Adhere Tech, Bourne Digital, and S & P Capital IQ.  Students learned about computer programming/coding, digital music,  robotics, scientific research, web design, building web systems, business management and marketing, electrical/mechanical/computer engineering, the application of mathematics across careers, healthcare, geographic information systems, data analysis, video game design, adaptive reading platforms, and much more!

The STEM Institute of Manhattan is the only STEM-themed public elementary school in Manhattan. Their STEM Career Day offers students an opportunity to learn about careers they do not see everyday. It combines the sophistication of STEM careers with the fascinating curriculum they engage in daily!
