Through our partnership programs, teachers and students have the unique opportunity to work with experts in the areas of STEM and Project Based Learning. Our partnerships support our themed curriculum and provide hands-on instruction for students, professional development for teachers, and opportunities to communicate and learn from individuals and schools across the country.

New York Institute of Technology

With programs in Education and Instructional Technology, focusing on computers in education, STEM, and teaching 21st Century skills, NYIT offers professional development and guidance to strengthen our use of leading edge media and technology for teaching and learning. Students work with us on a wide range of projects. They volunteer in classrooms and at Family Nights, participate in Service Learning Projects, and serve as tech interns.

Studio in a School

Arts program which provides a teaching artist to instruct students about various artistic mediums directly related to their units of studies in the classroom. The Studio School’s approach develops and enhances each child’s innate intelligence and creativity through carefully guided, thought-provoking assignments and independent projects. Through this process, students attain freedom of thought and feeling, along with the discipline to find meaningful forms of expression.

Broadway Junior

A program run by Music Theater International, Broadway Junior brings Broadway’s classical and contemporary musicals to young performers. With a focus on theater as education, it is the ultimate interdisciplinary teaching tool. Students audition, then rehearse and perform a 70-minute adaption of either a new hit or beloved classic.

Community Works

A nonprofit arts organization that is one of the largest providers of quality arts, literacy and mentoring programs to schools and community groups around New York City. Community-based artists/mentors provide student workshops in theatre, dance, music, creative writing and visual arts. Programs also focus on leadership development, peer mentoring and conflict resolution. There is a strong literacy focus.
